Job Description

• Source suppliers and maintain listing in order to obtain best prices, timely suppliers and prompt service.
• Place Purchase Order with suppliers according to requirement quantity.
• Liaise with Stores and Production Planning Personnel regarding material requirements.
• Follow up with supplies to ensure prompt delivery of goods.
• Select product for purchase by testing, observing or examining items and estimate values according to knowledge of market price.
• Maintaining minimum inventory levels consistent with production schedule requirements and without incurring stock out condition. Arranging factory visit if necessary for new or curren t potential supplier/sub con.
• Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchase, costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories.
• Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or service with Quality Control personnel to deter mine source of trouble and take corrective action.
