We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer Manager with

experience in telematics and a strong understanding of Usage-Based Insurance (UBI) solutions.

The Sales Engineer will play a key role in driving business growth by bridging the gap between

customers and the technical teams. You will work closely with the sales and product

development teams to deliver tailored telematics solutions to clients, particularly within the

connected car, IoT, and insurance sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer needs and provide technical expertise on telematics and UBI solutions.
  • Present and demonstrate the company’s telematics products and software to potential clients, including insurers and OEMs.
  • Act as the primary technical resource for clients during the sales process, addressing technical queries and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s telematics platform, UBI oPerings, and connected car technologies.
  • Work closely with the product development team to align customer requirements with product capabilities and future developments.
  • Provide technical documentation, training, and support to clients post-sales to ensure successful deployment and integration of solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in telematics, IoT, connected cars, and UBI to guide clients on best practices and innovation.
  • Assist in creating proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and sales presentations tailored to the client’s needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar role within the digital landscape of insurance, telematics, IoT, or automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of Usage-Based Insurance (UBI) models and their integration with telematics solutions.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with OEMs, fleet management, or insurance clients is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with big data analytics, cloud platforms, and IoT systems.
  • Understanding of software development processes and APIs related to connected car ecosystems.
  • Experience with CRM tools and technical sales processes.
