The Die & Mould Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and modification of dies and moulds to ensure consistent and efficient production. The role requires expertise in precision machining, understanding of tooling design, and hands-on experience in handling moulds and dies used in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on dies and moulds.
- Diagnose tooling problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper fit, function, and finish of tooling components.
- Modify dies and moulds as per engineering change requirements.
- Maintain documentation of all repairs and modifications.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve tooling-related issues.Participate in continuous improvement and kaizen activities
Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- Diploma in Tooling, Automotive, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in die and mould maintenance or toolroom operations (automotive industry preferred).
- Fresh graduated also encouraged to apply.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of press tools, injection moulds, jigs, and fixtures.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers, etc.).
- Knowledge of machining operations and materials.
