Main purpose of the role:
Supporting company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Budgeting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist in the preparation of the company's financial reports and presentations
- Monitor and report on variances between actual results and the budget/forecast.
2. Taxation & Compliance
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Reconcile bank statements, financial documents and ensure financial data integrity.
- Ensure all financial operations adhere to company policies and legal guidelines
3. Support to Management
- Provide financial support and advice to various departments.
- Assist in strategic financial planning execution and ad-hoc support wherever required.
- Stays current on relevant industry regulations and trends
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or Finance
- Relevant experience in commission handling, particularly in insurance or intermediary business will be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to manage people, to think and plan to deliver results
- Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate and influence outcomes
- Good numeracy skills and strong proficiency in Excel
- Problem solver with a can-do attitude and a desire to excel
- Thrive in a fluid, dynamically changing and results-oriented environment
- This role requires fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, as it involves frequent interactions with regional stakeholders, clients, and teams who primarily communicate in these languages.
