Job Summary
The HVAC Engineer will be handling the inspection and planning of the maintenance/repairs of HVAC system for a marine vessel.
Responsibilities:
- To assist Project Director/Manager Day to day activities.
- Conduct inspections and performance assessments of HVAC systems.
- Plan and execute maintenance, repairs, and replacement of critical components.
- Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, and classification society standards.
- Troubleshoot system failures and coordinate with other departments for repairs.
- Submit daily HVAC maintenance reports and a final HVAC condition assessment report.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, and pressurization systems.
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC design, installation, and maintenance.
- Ability to work on-site during the SPS project duration.
Additional skills (Preffered not compulsary) :
- Familiarity with ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register, or other classification society requirements for offshore HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of offshore safety protocols.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP).
- Understanding of IMO SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) and MARPOL regulations related to HVAC systems.
