Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings, equipment and systems to identify any issues
- Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
- Assisting in the installation of new manufacturing equipment
- Calibration of equipment or machinery
- Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery – this needs to be planned to ensure minimal disruption of processes
- Perform preventive maintenance by carrying out regular machinery inspection to prevent breakdown
- Maintain and check stock or availability of critical spare parts to prevent delays in repairs when needed
- Responding to alerts and operation messages – carrying out corrective procedures and repairs in line with SOP and maintenance protocols
- Clear documentation of both routine checks and repairs needed, in line with both internal and external protocols and procedures
- Maintains logs of any downtime within the manufacturing system
- Involved in training of production staff of routine maintenance procedures
- Performs other tasks as outlined to achieve the company's objectives and goals
Requirements / Competencies
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Certificate/Vocational in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Preferably with 1 year of working experience in a Technician or maintenance role
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
- Critical thinker and Good problem-solving skills
