Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Executive ensures wire harness products meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality standards. The role includes inspections, documentation, audits, and problem-solving to support Forbes’ reputation for quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Planning and Control
- Ensure that quality control procedures and inspection plans are correctly implemented and consistently followed on the production floor.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to review product drawings, specifications, and quality requirements during the initial planning phase and for any design changes.
- Establish effective control plans, visual aids, and testing protocols for all wire harness assemblies.
2. Inspection, Testing, and Documentation
- Perform and oversee in-process, final product, and incoming material inspections to verify compliance with technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and process audits in accordance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Document non-conformances and issue corrective action requests when deviations are identified.
3. Non-Conformance Management and Corrective Actions
- Conduct root cause analysis for internal defects and customer complaints using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
- Follow up with responsible departments to ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and update documentation accordingly.
4. Support for Customer and Third-Party Audits
- Serve as a key member of the audit preparation and response team.
- Ensure all documentation is current, accurate, and accessible for internal, customer, or third-party audits.
- Accompany auditors during assessments and provide supporting evidence of compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
5. Quality System Maintenance
- Assist in maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Participate in periodic internal audits and contribute to management review meetings by presenting quality performance trends and areas for improvement.
6. Training and Communication
- Conduct training sessions for operators, line leaders, and new employees on quality standards, defect identification, and inspection techniques.
- Promote a quality-first mindset across all production teams and contribute to a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
7. Product Launches and Engineering Changes
- Support pre-production activities such as ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and trial builds.
- Verify that all engineering changes are properly validated and implemented in production, with updated documentation and inspection standards.
8. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement in manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Propose and support quality-focused Kaizen activities and lean initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce variation and defects.
Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Participate in quality audits, presentations, and internal training.
- Support NPI and prototype testing.
- Perform tasks as directed by the QA Manager or Quality Director.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any field such as electrical, electronic and engineering.
- Good command in English.
- Knowledge and experienced in ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 is compulsory.
- Knowledge in ISO 45001 / ISO 13485 / ISO 14001 is an added advantage.
- Minimum 4 - 5 years experience in this field.
- Good communicator and able to discuss and able to generate solution to the problem (if any).
- Possess strong leadership skill, responsible, willing to learn and high achiever, and able to work under minimum supervision.
- Strong analytical skills & Co-ordination, Data Analysis & Problem Solving.
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

- Experience in process design and mapping, establishing performance & data analysis are added advantage.
- Good planning and organizational skills and competent in decision-making.

- Experience in process-centric environment and focused on delivering high-value quality outputs.
- Good knowledge in computer literacy e.g. MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Office.
