We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods while maintaining the highest quality standards. This includes ensuring product quality, implementing quality assurance protocols, performing calibrations, and maintaining documentation throughout the process. Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accurate documentation of quality control processes, procedures, and inspections.
• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
• Perform Food Safety & Hygiene Internal Audits to ensure proper implementation of QMS/FSMS at every process for compliance to Food Safety Standard, Standard Operation Procedures, Company policies and industry best practices.
• Handle and liaise with external audit departments such as HALAL / ISO / DOSH / SIRIM etc.
• Perform product testing / sampling and inspection and submit quality assurance reports for inbound and/or outbound or quality verification purposes.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to product quality and non-conformances.
• Act as document controller and ensure all documents & records for QA Department are in order, up to date and well organized.
• Collaborate with customers and work with cross functional teams to address quality concerns and ensure proper change control implementation.
• Developing preventive action plans, corrective actions and improvements of work flow, processes and practices.
• Ensure all open issues e.g. hazards, policies, objective targets, audit results, feedback / complaints are resolved within the given time frame.
• Maintain and update our current certifications e.g. ISO/HALAL/HACCP
• Monitoring and preparing for hygiene and cleanliness of work areas and workers on daily basis.
• Create awareness for staff on quality control procedures, food safety regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology or related field
• Shows strong understanding of Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
• Proven experience in QC or Food handling within the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Self-motivated, strong leadership skills, ability to work independently with minimum supervision and ready to take on challenges.
• Strong reporting skills, problem-solving, action-taking, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English & Malay spoken and written.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong passion for food safety, personal hygiene is an added advantage.
• 1 year of relevant work experience .
• Possess valid driving license and own transport.
