Job Summary:

Fresca Mart, a new leading convenience store specializing in grocery and ready-to-eat items, is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the store’s smooth daily operations, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Store Operations:

• Assist in opening and closing the store as needed.
• Replenish shelves and maintain stock levels throughout the day.
• Monitor product expiry dates and ensure items are rotated appropriately.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and handle transactions efficiently.

Merchandising and Cleanliness:

• Ensure products are displayed attractively and in alignment with store guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the store, including aisles, shelves, and counters.
• Assist with promotional displays and seasonal arrangements.

Inventory Management:

• Support inventory counts and report stock discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying inventory accuracy.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.
• Assist with training new staff and sharing knowledge about store processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

• Secondary school, SPM or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Prior experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is a plus.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.

Other Requirements:

• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
