The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant operations. The role involves hands-on work with industrial automation systems, PLCs, and electrical circuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motors, control panels, lighting, and wiring.
- Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and machines.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Assist in energy-saving initiatives and electrical system upgrades.
- Coordinate with other departments for breakdown support and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Certificate, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Fresh graduated also encouraged to apply.
Skills:
- Knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and industrial automation.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other control devices is an advantage.
- Familiarity with tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, etc.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Awareness of electrical safety standards and regulations.
