Job Overview
As a Car Battery Delivery Rider, you will be responsible for delivering car batteries, diagnosing battery issues, performing installations, handling payments, and navigating efficiently using GPS. You will play a key role in ensuring excellent customer service and a smooth delivery experience. 

Key Responsibilities

Battery Delivery

  1. Manage deliveries, customer requests, and locations efficiently.
  2. Verify the correct battery type before delivery to avoid mismatches.
  3. Inform customers of the estimated time of arrival (ETA) within the agreed service level agreement (SLA).
  4. Ensure fast and efficient deliveries while maintaining safety standards. 

 

Battery Installation & Diagnosis

  1. Conduct initial diagnosis of the existing battery.
  2. Carefully install new car batteries while following safety procedures.
  3. Perform starter and alternator tests to ensure proper functionality.
  4. Provide a short debrief to customers on the installation and test results.
  5. Offer expert advice on battery maintenance and best practices.
  6. Explain the warranty procedure and terms to customers.

 

GPS Navigation & Route Management

  1. Use GPS or maps to locate destinations efficiently.
  2. Read and follow written or verbal instructions for deliveries.
  3. Navigate local streets and highways safely and effectively. 

 

Payment Processing

  1. Request payment from customers immediately after installation.
  2. Offer multiple payment options, including cash, cashless transactions, or card payments.
  3. Ensure customers provide proof of payment before completing the service.
  4. For BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) customers using Atome, SPayLater, or PayLater by Grab, confirm payment is completed before delivery.

 

Other Responsibilities

  1. Safely operate the delivery vehicle in various weather conditions.
  2. Maintain reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
  3. Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
  4. Comply with all transportation laws and road safety regulations.
  5. Maintain a clean driving record and ensure vehicle safety. 

 

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license (B2) and a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of car battery installation and diagnostics (training will be provided).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation and local routes.
