Job Overview
As a Car Battery Delivery Rider, you will be responsible for delivering car batteries, diagnosing battery issues, performing installations, handling payments, and navigating efficiently using GPS. You will play a key role in ensuring excellent customer service and a smooth delivery experience.
Key Responsibilities
Battery Delivery
- Manage deliveries, customer requests, and locations efficiently.
- Verify the correct battery type before delivery to avoid mismatches.
- Inform customers of the estimated time of arrival (ETA) within the agreed service level agreement (SLA).
- Ensure fast and efficient deliveries while maintaining safety standards.
Battery Installation & Diagnosis
- Conduct initial diagnosis of the existing battery.
- Carefully install new car batteries while following safety procedures.
- Perform starter and alternator tests to ensure proper functionality.
- Provide a short debrief to customers on the installation and test results.
- Offer expert advice on battery maintenance and best practices.
- Explain the warranty procedure and terms to customers.
GPS Navigation & Route Management
- Use GPS or maps to locate destinations efficiently.
- Read and follow written or verbal instructions for deliveries.
- Navigate local streets and highways safely and effectively.
Payment Processing
- Request payment from customers immediately after installation.
- Offer multiple payment options, including cash, cashless transactions, or card payments.
- Ensure customers provide proof of payment before completing the service.
- For BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) customers using Atome, SPayLater, or PayLater by Grab, confirm payment is completed before delivery.
Other Responsibilities
- Safely operate the delivery vehicle in various weather conditions.
- Maintain reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules.
- Comply with all transportation laws and road safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and ensure vehicle safety.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (B2) and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of car battery installation and diagnostics (training will be provided).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and local routes.
