About Company

Astral Asia Berhad (“AAB”) and its subsidiaries (“AAB Group”) have commenced businesses in Malaysia for more than 40 years. AAB is a public limited company and its shares are listed on Bursa Securities Malaysia since 1998. The current paid up capital of ABB is RM 131,996,700 (USD $31.4 million based on USD 4.2 : 1 conversion).

Our plantation activities are undertaken by Astral Asia Plantation Sdn Bhd (“AAP”), a joint venture between AAB and Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Negeri Pahang (“PKPP”). AAB begin its oil palm plantation operations in 1980 and currently owns and manages five oil palm estates with a total plantation acreage of 9931 acres (4019 hectares) in the state of Pahang, Malaysia. AAP also provides comprehensive oil palm plantation management services on a profit-sharing basis to other plantation owners.

Our property development division has also commenced the planning and development works of a new mixed development township project of 2,433 acres to be named as Kuantan Hi-Tech Park (“KuHTP”), a strategic development within the Special Economic Zone of the East Coast Economic Region (“ECER”) master plan.

Our construction and civil engineering works are carried out by Tasja Sdn Bhd (“Tasja”), a contractor registered with the Construction and Development Board as a Grade G7 contractor and a registered “Class A” contractor with Malaysian Government Contractor Services Centre (“Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor”). A certified 9001:2008 Quality Management Company, Tasja has completed and delivered construction projects exceeding RM2.0 billion (USD $550 million based on USD 4.2 : 1 conversion) in Malaysia. Some of the notable projects include the Tanjung Pelepas Kompleks Jabatan Laut, the Malacca Polytechnic Campus, the Ipoh ITM Campus, the Tanjung Langsat Road Works and the construction of the New Wing of Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Bahru.

Our e-commerce division is undertaken by Clean Link Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Woodland Water Sdn Bhd) vide the online brand “The Clean Shop” from January 2021. The Clean Shop will initially start selling a wide range of household FMCG products for internet-savvy consumers within Peninsular Malaysia. Clean Link Sdn Bhd also intends to expand its operations into self-manufacturing and OEM of in-house brand products in the near future.
